Pre-Spring Break Road Trip: Traveling to the Habitats!

Hello everyone! The last time I wrote a post, I was joking about how the only followers we had were personal friends of ours. Then, out of nowhere we started getting new followers... and they're not our parents or old college friends! A warm welcome to our new followers! I guess this means that we should actually try to put some posts on our blog once and awhile!

I have a short and sweet post for today because of, one word: report cards. Oh, and conferences, IEPs, and after school intervention. I guess it's safe to say that there's a lot going on right now!

In science, my students have packed their suitcases and are traveling to the different habitats. During their visit, they will learn about the adaptations of plants and animals. They will also learn about the characteristics of each habitat. They will receive souvenirs and other goodies to put into their suitcases. We made the suitcases out of the heavy duty expandable file folders that you can purchase from an office supply store. I actually found the folders cheaper somewhere online. One of my boys said, "are we making purses today?" Ha! Stay tuned for more to come on this science unit!

We also linked up with Fabulous 4th Grade Froggies, who is having a fun linky party for upper grade teachers. We teach 3rd and SDC Kindergarten, so we represent the best of both worlds!
